Club Balcony Update
Please note – Until further notice the balcony will be closed for refurbishment works. Thank you to the Tuesday club for your hard work in getting this project underway and for the team that developed and planned these essential works. As the project progresses we will be looking for a work party to fit the planks. Watch this space for updates in the near future……
The New Hythe Sailing Club Shop is now live
New this month is the online shop for club regalia and clothing. You can now access the shop online via the website once you are logged in. The shop page is available when you hover your mouse over the Member Area tab at the top of the page or at this link http://hythesailingclub.co.uk/shop/ Regalia is also available for viewing on the rail in the club house, if you are looking for something else the brochures are next to the rail and there is a specialist order form available by following this link http://hythesailingclub.co.uk/product/specialist-item-order-from-catalogue/. Orders are completed in batches to keep the costs down and payment is in cash before the order is placed. Sue Hayward will be in touch with more details when you submit your order online or on the clothing order forms in the function room.
Serving Alcohol to Members Guests Update
Some good news from New Forest District Council. At last years AGM a vote was held to change one of the rules around serving and selling alcohol to members guests who are signed in. We now have confirmation that our licence and rules are accepted by the council and that we can serve and sell to members guests from now on.

Solitaire/KG aiming to leave around 1pm. Distance to Island Harbour from Hythe SC is around 10.5m, so expect around 3hrs of sailing/motoring. Arriving towards high tide will make motoring in the river easier. Island Harbour has a lock to maintain depth in the Marina at low tide call in to the Marina VHF or 01983 539 994 as you approach to get permission to enter the lock or hold outside on the pontoon.
The marina will likely be busy on the bank holiday and if the lock is not on free-flow then they may operate a booking system for departures.
